Our Covid-19 Policy

To keep everyone safe and to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19, we have implemented some different ways of operating our business.

  • All bookings must be paid for in advance - we no longer accept cash and we can not process card payments on the day!

  • Please download, print and complete our Rider Registration Form (found on the Horse Riding page of our website) and bring it with you. This must be completed for each rider.

  • If you or any member of your family feels unwell or has been recently tested positive for Covid-19, then please do not attend for your ride. We will refund on last minute cancellations due to Covid-19 on production of a Doctor's Certificate or Hospital letter. Please email or ring to inform us that you will not be attending for your ride.

  • If you arrive earlier than your requested arrival time, then please remain in your car.

  • We request that all customers wear a facemask or face covering on arrival, whilst trying on riding helmets, during mounting and safety checks, whilst riding (if being led) and whilst dismounting at the end of the ride. If you are not being led then you may remove your facemask once we have exited the top of our drive. You must replace your facemask at the end of the ride before dismounting.

  • All customers must use the hand sanitising stations on arrival (located outside the toilet and in the main stable yard). Please do not touch things unnecessarily.

  • Please observe Social Distancing at all times. When it is necessary for a member of staff to get closer than 2m distance then facemasks must be worn by both the customer and staff.

  • Our toilet facility is open but we request that all customers wear a facemask and use hand sanitiser before entering the building. Anti-viral wipes are provided for you to sanitise surfaces, taps etc. before and after use (please place used wipes in the bin - do not flush them!). Anti-bacterial soap is provided to wash your hands. Please leave the toilet door open for extra ventilation after using the toilet.

  • No customers are allowed inside the stable building - please remain in the stable yard until a member of staff assists you.

  • Where possible please bring your own riding hat (this must comply to PAS015 2011 and it will be checked by us for insurance purposes).

  • If you don't have your own riding hat, you can use our Centre riding helmets. These are sanitised between customers and after handling.

  • Please use the hand sanitiser and wear a facemask before trying on our riding helmets.

  • Please wear sensible, sturdy footwear (not wellies or walking boots) as we no longer supply riding boots. We now use cage safety stirrups. Open toe sandals, flip flops and crocs are not suitable to wear around horses.

  • Please wear clean gloves for riding. If you don't have any clean gloves, then you must use hand sanitiser before mounting the horse.

  • At the end of your ride (if not being led) please remain outside in the stable yard and wait for a member of staff to assist you and collect your horse.

  • All borrowed Centre riding helmets must be placed into the crate ready for sanitising.

  • All reins, saddle handles, neck straps, saddles etc are sanitised after every customer.

  • All our cleaning products comply with British Standard EN14476.

  • If you or any member of your family become unwell or test positive for Covid-19 after your ride, then please inform us ASAP, so we can implement Track and Trace.
