We offer an Introduction to Riding Combo session which lasts approximately 1hr and is suitable for complete beginners who have never ridden a horse before, children, adults, beginners, rusty and nervous riders.

The session starts with a short safety talk to keep everyone safe, and we try to keep this light hearted, educational and fun.

This is followed by ridden instruction, learning how to steer, stop and control the horse before having a short Trek with stunning views of the Preseli Hills. All young children will be on a lead rein, and must be accompanied by an adult walking alongside for the duration of the ride.
Please note: Adults and Teenagers who wish to be on a lead rein must declare this at the time of booking. To ensure the welfare of our horses, we have a maximum weight limit of 15 Stone (95kg) for this ride.
2hr Hack for experienced riders £70 p/p

For the more competent and experienced regular rider, we offer a 2hr Hack (taken at a faster pace than a trek) which includes more trotting and a canter. This is a longer distance route than the Novice Trek and takes approximately 2 hours. This ride is only suitable for experienced, medium level, regular riders due to the challenging terrain.
We only accept children 10yrs old and over for the 2hr Hack (and only if they are experienced and competent riders, capable of controlling the pony independently in rising trot and canter). To ensure the welfare of our horses, we have a maximum weight limit of 14 Stone (89kg) for this ride.
2hr Trek suitable for beginner/novice riders £70 p/p (we do not accept complete beginners or lead rein riders on this ride)
We offer a Trek suitable for Beginner/Novice riders who have previously ridden and are competent to ride off the lead rein. Riders must be able to steer, stop and control the horse independently. We have a choice of two routes which offer fantastic views over Gors Fawr, Mynachlog-Ddu, Carn Menyn and across to Foel Cwmcerwyn. This leisurely trek lasts approximately 2hrs at walking pace, although there maybe a little trotting dependant upon the competencies of the group. The pace is always set to allow for the least experienced rider.
Our horses are well schooled and responsive but they do require some input from the rider. Our Customer's safety and enjoyment is paramount and we will not take any unnecessary risks. We assess all riders in the yard once they are mounted on their horse and if they are not competent to attempt the ride, then we will not take them out, and no refund will be given. Please note: we are not able to lead rein riders on this route.
We only accept children 8yrs old and over for the 2hr Novice Trek (and only if they are experienced and competent riders, capable of controlling the pony independently).
