We offer a Trek suitable for Novice riders who have previously been pony trekking and are able to ride off the lead rein. We have a choice of three routes which offer fantastic views over Gors Fawr, Mynachlog-Ddu, Carn Menyn and across to Foel Cwmcerwyn. This trek lasts approximately 2hrs.
1/2 day Trek for medium level riders £50
For the more competent rider, we offer a Trek that explores one of the larger Hills such as Carn Menyn or Foel Dyrch.
The popular Stone Circle ride includes Bedd Arthur and Gors Fawr stone circles, with spectacular views across Cardigan Bay.
The Foel Dyrch ride offers a different view inland towards The Black Mountain and The Gower, with fantastic views across the Preseli Hills.
The Mountain Gate ride offers views across the Preselis, Cardigan Bay and Carn Menyn.
These rides take approximately 2.5hrs to 3hrs and are only suitable for riders with previous experience due to the challenging terrain. There will be some trotting and cantering on these routes.
Full day Trek for medium level riders £85
For the more competent rider, we offer an all day Trek which explores the Preseli Hills and The Golden Road (an ancient Drovers road along the spine of the Preselis). The routes offer spectacular views in all directions and on a clear day Snowdonia and Ireland can be seen in the distance.
The Golden Road Picnic Ride includes a visit to the ancient Hill fort at Foel Drygarn, Bedd Arthur Stone circle and Gors Fawr Stone Circle. You will need to bring your own packed lunch - we provide saddlebags.
The Tafarn Sinc Pub Ride follows the Golden Road over Foel Feddau, the highest ridge in the Preseli Hills, before dropping down through Pantmaenog Forest to Rosebush and a lunchstop at The Tafarn Sinc Pub. You will need to bring some money to pay for your pub lunch.
These rides take all day with approximately 5hrs in the saddle, and are only suitable for riders with previous experience due to the challenging terrain. There will be some trotting and cantering on these routes.
